Forest School Play

This morning, after baking our animal shaped biscuits, we went down to explore the Forest School. We enjoyed feeding the birds, breaking up the bread into pieces and measuring out seed.  We used our new binoculars to spy birds but Leo commented that "that they won't come over as they are with their Mums."  Although we didn't see any birds, we did see lots of children playing the playground.  We thought about how they looked far away without the binolculars but close up with them.

The jungle phone was used to make calls to each other, practising our speaking and listening skills.  There was also time for bug hunting and looking for signs of Spring.  Kayden spotted the daffoldils, noticing their bright yellow colour.  We found lots of sticks which we used to practise our mathematical language - long, short, big, little.

We also enjoying playing hide and seek in the tipi, looking in the mirrors, playing tag and exploring the bendy willow sticks.

We hope you enjoyed looking at the photos from our morning.
