Swimming Pool Visit

This morning, a group of us visited the newly refurbished Ledbury Swimming Pool.

We had to take our socks and shoes off to walk through the changing rooms and the children managed this brilliantly.  Well done, Busy Bees!

The pool wasn't open for public swimming as it was a staff training morning.  We got to see the lifeguards jumping in the pool, 'saving' each other which led on to us discussing water safety with the children.  Some of the Busy Bees children in the group have swimming lessons in the pool and chatted happily to us about their experiences.  Others talked about wearing swimming costumes and goggles.

"I have pink goggles" - Sophie, 4

"My goggles are magic" - Mollie, 3

"Blue goggles" - Linas, 3

After watching the lifeguards for a while, we went back to the changing rooms where we had a good look round.  The children spotted the different sized lockers with Jasmine and Hana having a look inside - "it's big!"  They also noticed the numbers on the lockers and keys, shouting out different numbers and pointing to them.  Great work!

Jodie tested the hairdryers and then we swilled out feet in the shower which prompted lots of giggles.

It was then time to put our socks and shoes back on before walking back to Busy Bees.  We would like to thank Halo Ledbury for being so welcoming.
