Letters and Sounds w/c 02.07.12

Our sound of the week for this week is 'sh'.  As always, we love to see the children join in and bring in something from home.  This item will be discussed at circle time, story time and during the Letters and Sounds session.  We might see:

Holiday Club @ BB - Summer Holiday Programme

We are delighted to publish our first Summer Holiday programme for this year's summer holidays.  We have plenty of exciting activities and experiences on offer for your child so please take a look.  If you would like to book sessions for your child, please complete the booking form and return to us.  If you are not already a parent of a child at Busy Bees then we will issue you with a registration form which must be completed before your child attends.  We are very flexible so please speak to us about your requirements. 


Sessions are:

Busy Bees @ LPS Extended Hours

Busy Bees @ LPS are very pleased to announce that we now offer extended hours as well as extending the age range of children we care for.  PALS, the previous before school, after school and holiday club with whom we shared the premises no longer exist.  Busy Bees we will taking over these services with immediate effect. 


Busy Bees now offer:

Breakfast Club @ Busy Bees for children aged 3-11years.  This runs from 7:45am-8:45am

After School Club @ Busy Bees for children aged 3-11 years.  This runs from 3:00pm-6:00pm

Songs and Rhymes

We realise that you may not be aware of all of the songs and rhymes we enjoy at Busy Bees.  We have worked to bring the most popular ones together in a document for you to refer to at home.  If you would like us to print you copies of particular songs and rhymes, then please let us know.  The document is available to open under the 'Parent Info' tab.


The new EYFS

As you may be aware, the changes to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) come into effect from 1st September 2012.  We are busy planning for the changes, some of which include revisions to the areas of learning.  There is some useful information on this website if you would like to find out more including how this will impact on what your children will be learning:

Welcome Back!

We would like to welcome all children and their families back to Busy Bees for the last half term before the Summer Holidays.  This half term, we will be learning about all things 'Summer' including the seaside, Summer safety, holiday transport and the Olympics.  Our medium term planning is available to view in the 'Parents Info' section, as is this half term's newsletter and a Parent Information Leaflet.  Our role play this half term is a beach shop so we would really appreciate donations of arm bands, goggles, beach towels and buckets and spades.  Thank you.
