Busy Bees @ LPS have now broken up for Easter.  We would like to wish all children and their families a very Happy Easter.  We look forward to seeing you all when we return on Wednesday 18th April.

Story Drawing

Thank you very much to the parents and children who drew Bumble's story for our display board in the book corner.  We have pictures, collages and a mobile all on display now - have a look in the book corner to see the wonderful creations.  Thank you, it is very much appreciated.

End of Term

Please be reminded that this Friday, 30th March is the end of term.  We will be having an Easter party and Easter activities on this day and would appreciate donations of party food.  We will return to Busy Bees on Wednesday 18th April.  Have a very Happy Easter.

As you will be aware from our Parent's Noticeboard, we have an outbreak of Chickenpox at Busy Bees at the moment.  Please see the attached file which gives information on Chickenpox from the Health Protection Authority (HPA)

Please let us know if your child catches Chickenpox.

Sports Relief

Thank you for supporting the children's efforts to raise money for Sports Relief on Friday.  They took part in obstacle courses, workouts, dance routines and running races.  Their great efforts raised £20.

Busy Bees @ LPS Dance Class today

We were very lucky today to be visited by Karen Jones from Ledbury Dance Company.  Karen taught the children some simple dance steps and sequences.  We learned a clapping rhythm and then did the rhythm using instruments and then jumped the rhythm to music.

Story Drawing

We need Parents and Carers to help with our new display in the book corner.  You should all have had a short story about Bumble's Search for Spring in your child's pigeon hole.  We would like you to read this with your child and then draw the story together.  This could be a map, painting, collage or cartoon - be as creative and imaginative as you like!  We will talk about the drawings at circle time and use them for our display.  We are excited to see what you will produce!

Sports Relief @ Busy Bees

This Friday is Sports Relief and Busy Bees will be doing their bit to raise funds for the cause.  Children are encouraged to come wearing sporty clothes and will participate in lots of sporting fun including obstacle courses, running races and exercises.  We are asking for a minimum donation of £1 for this event please.

'Teachers' week at Busy Bees @ LPS

Next week, we will be exploring how Teachers help us.  On Tuesday, we will be taking a group of children to visit Ledbury Primary School.  They will be shown around by some children in Year 1 from Mrs Chaplin's class.  We will visit the school Library, Music Room, the Hall and School Nursery.  We are also hoping to meet the Head, Mrs Rees!  You will be notified if we will be taking your child.

P.E. at Busy Bees

Next term, the children aged 3 and over will be taking part in a P.E. session every Thursday morning.  Mrs Rees at Ledbury Primary School has kindly given us permission to use the school hall and some of their equipment from after Easter.  We are very excited about this opportunity for the children to demonstrate their physical abilities and as well as learning new skills.  You will be given a letter with more information if your child will be taking part detailing what they will need to bring.
